Distractions and Interruptions

Your Book Writing Coach Lisa Tener
I’m preparing for my interview with Joe Carroccio tomorrow (Monday, December 21) on his program The Law of Distraction and Interruption. It’s got me thinking about what keeps people from writing their books (myself included):
- Interruptions like phone calls, e-mails, other people’s needs which we may put before our own.
- Distractions like all the other projects going on in our lives.
The biggest solution is, of course, scheduling time for the book, so that the book becomes a priority–and then making sure you turn off the phone, don’t check e-mails and truly focus on writing the book during writing time.
Tune into the show to find out more about how to keep interruptions and distractions at bay and complete your book…Monday, December 21 at 1:10 Eastern time. It’s a 12 minute interview, so join us on time!

I really needed this blog, particularly with the holiday season. What a distraction! Tonight I find myself at the computer writing on my blog, website, and book and I feel terrific. At last, I am focussed again. Thank you, Lisa for your ongoing support.
