How to Write a Book Fast: Write Your Book in 60 Days
"Do you want to be a published author? Are you excited thinking about the difference you can make in the world with the wisdom and expertise you have to offer people? Are you ready for fame and good fortune?"
Most people who want to write a book, or say they're writing a book, or start writing a book, never complete it.
What’s your excuse—no time? No idea where to start? Too many false starts? Are you overwhelmed by the whole task? The truth is, most of us need a little support to write our books.
You may need help developing habits that support your goals—so you can make the time for writing, organize effectively and take the actions needed for success. You also need to determine what’s required to meet your goal—do you need to write the book first or the proposal? What are the most important elements of the proposal? I will provide you the road map you need for success—the individual steps you need to take to reach your goal. You will learn fast how to write a book.

Once you know what to do, you’re probably still going to need some help staying on track. I don’t know about you, but for me, it’s a hundred times easier to exercise when I’m part of a class or working out with a partner than when I try to develop a fitness routine completely on my own. I’ll help you stay on track—we’ll plan your actions; you’ll execute them; if challenges crop up, we’ll address them quickly together. In other words, I’ll keep you on target.
Perhaps you’re concerned about whether or not you have what it takes to be successful—to get published, for instance. Waiting in line to pitch my next project to several agents at the International Writer’s Guild “Meet the Agents” conference, I heard more than a dozen women talk about how impossible it was to get published. Not true. Challenging? Yes. Impossible? Not at all. In my experience, it takes three traits to get published:
- the desire
- perseverance
- the ability to receive feedback and evaluate what changes you need to make—I call this “teachability”
If you have the desire, the perseverance and the ability to incorporate new information and constructive feedback, passable writing will become better; a good idea will bloom into something great. Think of Arthur Golden who wrote Memoirs of a Geisha. He was willing to change his novel almost completely more than once to write what became a blockbuster bestseller. The cream will rise to the top.
Have you got desire, perseverance and teachability? Good. Now, how fast do you want to get published? It took me seven years to get my first book published. That was from the germ of the idea to holding the real McCoy in my hot little hands. You don’t want to wait that long, do you? You don’t have to. I’ll teach you all the things it took me years to discover to get my book published by a best selling publisher—how to get the ear of a top agent, how to wow a publisher with your marketability, how to include creative features that will make your book attractive to the media and likely to get national press once it’s published.
Whether you are looking for a publisher or wish to self-publish, this 60 day program will give you the support you need to develop just what you need—a book proposal for agents and publishers or the actual book itself.
