A couple of weeks ago, my colleague Simon Golden asked if I could recommend an excellent book marketing course for him and his partner, Lorena. Once their clients’ books were published, many of their ghostwriting and editing clients wanted help with book marketing strategies. Simon and Lorena were ready to learn to support their needs, but where should they turn to study this skill so they could support their own clients in selling their books?
The Book Marketing Course I Recommended
I immediately thought of Stephanie Chandler, founder of the Nonfiction Authors Association and the Nonfiction Writers Conference, who created and teaches The Book Marketing Master Course. You can take this course as an author looking to learn and discern how to market your book(s). And the course will provide the strategies you need whether you are about to launch a book or are looking to improve sales on books already published. If you are a publishing industry professional, you can also do what my colleague and his partner are doing: take the course to get certified as a book marketer through the Nonfiction Authors Association.
Here’s what Simon wrote, when I asked whether he would share some feedback in this post:
“We bought the online program and we were able to instantly apply what we’ve learned to marketing clients; it’s already producing results [just a few weeks in] . Given the material in the course, we expect that the ultimate value of the program will be worth 6 or even 7 figures [to us]! It’s producing incredible value for the business. We’ve been in business for 7 years, and the course is literally a gold mine of secrets we never knew existed to catapult books to becoming top sellers and create new business. I believe the course will be the best investment we’ve made ever. ” – Simon Golden, PhD
Is This the Book Marketing Course for Your Needs?

In a world with so many possibilities for getting the word out to readers, the options for book marketing can feel overwhelming. To complicate matters, what works for one book/audience and results in strong book sales might not work well for a different audience or book. What’s fulfilling, joyful, and successful for one author might be tedious, painful, and/or unsuccessful for another. Learning about the variety of possibilities–and what tends to work best in which situations–will help you make effective decisions and make the best use of your investments of time, money and other resources.
